Suit's you
This season prepare to be wearing the trousers, not just in the daytime but for night-time chic. If you like the androgynous look, go for boy glamour and add a shirt and tie to your suit (Paul Smith and Tommy Hilfiger). As long as the cut is relaxed – almost verging on boyfriend trousers (we love Chanel’s take on this trend) – and you go for a classic dark shade, you will look as feminine and sexy as if you were wearing a prom dress.
If you’re more of a skinny-shape fan, drainpipe cut trouser suits are also a great option. You can go for a tailored or more casual style and a longer jacket, possibly belted (as seen at Dsquared) to create a fuller silhouette.
When it comes to textures you’ll be spoilt for choice: from traditional cotton and wool mixes to more sophisticated leather, sequins and satin, ideal to mix and match according to your mood.
Evening suits are a night-time must if you want to look sharp. These trouser suits take elements from the classic tux shape, tailcoats and riding jackets but are embellished and shaped in at the waist to soften the look; and are worn with bow ties and a cummerbund for a belt (Ralph Lauren, Moschino and Temperley). A strong sexy alternative to your favourite LBD.
